A case of three column tibia plateau fracture managed with conventional plating methods. Currently nail in combination with plate to address the diaphyseal extension is a valid option. But sometimes when you need three plates, passing nail will need great experience and expertise. A long 4.5 mm plate, preferably on lateral side is a valid option in such situations. 4.5 mm medial plate carries risk of wound complications considering its bulk. Here the lateral plate was a raft plate which doesn’t
