WMAES students are involved in every step of the syrup-making process. Starting in early March we tap about 50 Sugar maple trees and place the spouts and buckets. Throughout March students help empty sap buckets, gather wood to cook the sap, do some maple math, learn about historical ways of tapping trees, and have a wonderful time being in the forest.
