The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully tested its indigenously developed Military Combat Parachute System (MCPS) from 32,000 feet. Conducted by Indian Air Force test jumpers, the system is designed for high-altitude operations, enhancing troop deployment efficiency and strengthening India’s self-reliance in advanced airborne missions. The MCPS is now the only parachute system in operational use by the Indian Armed Forces capable of deployment above 25,000 feet.
