Athletes: You have to Understand that explosive power is how fast you can produce force. You have to be able to have a quick and powerful muscle contraction. The faster you can generate and produce force, the more explosive/faster you’ll be. I love traditional heavy weight lifting. But lifting light weights as fast as possible does something miraculous to your body/nervous system/quick twitch muscles. ALSO, performing explosive movements, you want to do so while being at your most capable form.
